My grandfather is buried in the Communal Cemetery at Blaugies Near Mons Belguim.

He was killed 8/11/1918. He was a serjeant in the Middlesex Regiment, and is one of 3 of his Regiment killed that day and buried at Blaugies.

However near Blaugies is the village of Erquennes where the only British War Grave is that of 235165 Private Leonard Naylor 1/8btn the Middlesex Regiment, also killed 8/11/1918. he was the son of Alfred & Rose Naylor of 51 Robin Lane Pudsey, Leeds. his name also listed on the Pudsey War Memorial.

What I would like to know is are there members of his family still in the area.

I only found out who my Grandfather was 4 years ago, and since that time we have visited Blaugies every year, we have made friends in the village and one lady was born in Erquennes, and she told us about, and then took us to see the grave of Leonard Naylor.

The last three years we have been there for Armistice day, and we always put a cross on Private Naylors Grave at Erquennes as well as on my GF's and the 2 other Middlesex Regiment soldiers, and 2 RAF Officers graves at Blaugies.

If any of Private Naylor's Family are still around, I would be happy to send them photo of his grave and assure them that he is not forgotten.

I also have a copy of the Regiments war diaries for the day the Middlesex men were killed.

I am after any information, history or photographs of Union Bridge Mill on Roker Lane in Pudsey when it was owned by Gerald Hartley and Edward (then Gordon) Foster and prior to their ownership.

I am descended from the Foster family and would like to put together a record of the mills history.
