What’s on Yorkshire: Global acts set to dazzle and delight families as circus rolls into Leeds in June
High-flying high-wire acts will thrill in the Big Top, death-defying stunts on two wheels will leave you speechless, and the whole two-hour non-stop high-octane show promises to leave you breathless.
Circus Extreme says it is thrilled to be returning to England in 2023 as part of its World Tour. This one-of-a-kind performance brings together some of the world’s most talented circus acts and will be hosted at Woodhouse Moor, Leeds from Friday June 9 – 18. High-wire, high-octane
Henry Prince of Clowns will be entertaining in the ring throughout the show, keeping young and old alike amused and entertained with his antics.
There will be a Guinness World Record Holding act performed by the Ayala Troupe. This high-wire wonder has been performed all over the world and most recently at the World famous Monte Carlo Circus Festival.
Prepare to be enthralled by the aerial hoop skills of British artiste Laura Miller, whose act involves fire, water and air and whose talents are showcased in this visually stunning, graceful and beautiful show which promises to take you into a world of Sci-Fi.
Trapeze acts are a circus favourite but this performance from Brazil take it to the next level, walking upside down high up in the roof of the Big Top. Super Silva Junior gives a daredevil performance showcasing incredible agility, trapeze and balancing skills all performed in a unique style for this new production.
Still in mid-air, the Aerial Due Polischuk, will be holding each other by their teeth. They are one of the few acts in the world to perform this kind of mid-air, death-defying stunt which promises to leave audiences awestruck.
Motorbikes feature too. There’s a double wheel of death act and another death-defying show – the Globe of Death – which will appeal to the petrol-heads in the audience.
The Danguir Troupe’s double wheel of death stunt includes world’s first double summersault, which has never been performed in the United Kingdom. The group were stars of the famous Ringling Brothers Barnum and Bailey in the USA.
The Globe of Death is billed as “The most death-defying act ever demonstrated!”. It’ll put the performers under G-forces similar to that of a fighter pilot, as they loop vertically and horizontally all while encased in a mesh sphere.
Fresh from its European tour, the EXTREME® freestyle motocross team will come to the Big Top, flying through the air displaying cliff-hanger stunts such as the superman and nac nac – these riders are sure to get adrenaline pumping as they defy gravity with incredible mid-air backflips
Resident Street bike rider now a South American legend Paulinho will be performing his high energy octane display including wheelies, stoppies and burn-outs on his two-wheeled machine. Together with our troupe of dancers and musicians performing their acts all with unique twists.
The show will run for approximately two hours and is housed in Europe’s Largest Touring Circus Big Top, which is climate controlled and features comfortable theatre-style seating.
