From the beginning this was not going to be an easy game. Colts applied the early pressure pressing through the Albion midfield but coming up against a brick wall in the form of the Albion defence.

From a Tom Vare corner Albion took the lead with a tap in at the back post from Ryan Wakefield. A speculative shot from the Colts midfield saw the ball loop over Sam Osin's head and fall in the net to take the game into half-time all square.

The second half Albion began to take the upper hand with fine flowing football.

Again Tom Vare's corners cause much havoc in the Colts defence with Wayne Pattison heading against the bar and Luke Howarth putting away the rebound. Albion now had the upper hand. With Flynn Brook commanding the midfield Albion again pressed for a third.

Tom Vare's persistence finally paying off with a superb shot. With Albion now cruising a fourth seemed inevitable. Luke Howarth rounded off a good game with a shot from the left hand side.

Man of the Match went to Flynn Brook for controlling the midfield.
