Stanningley Albion U-13s entertained Calverley in a Divison Two, top of the table clash on Hough Top.

Playing with the wind against them in the first half Albion had to fight hard for this game.

Both defence and midfield knew they were in a game with Calverley taking the game to Albion.

Calverley looked as if they wanted this win and soon scored. Albion had to dig deep and not buckle under pressure. Another goal from Calverley only added to Albion's woes.

Albion saw Tom Vare put away a good goal to take Albion into half-time 2 -1 down. All was not lost as Albion now had the wind behind them.

Albion applied the pressure but not the final ball as wave upon wave went past.

A scrambled goal from Wayne Pattison gave Albion some hope but only for Calverley to profit from a defensive lapse from Albion.
Man of the match was Flynn Brook for an outstanding performance in midfield.
