Daniel Stendel proud of Barnsley side despite defeat but admits Leeds United showed promotion credentials

Barnsley boss Daniel Stendel felt his side were worth a point after today's derby defeat by Leeds United.

While he admitted Leeds were the better team in their 2-0 Oakwell win, he was proud of the way his players matched up with the promotion hopefuls.

"The main point, I'm proud of this performance," he said.

"We played what we can play.
