Stanningley Albion U-13s kicked off the seaon with a hard fought away win at South Leeds Saints.

Both teams from the off played some good flowing football.

Albion's defensive back four held firm with goalkeeper's sproviding the last line.

Both teams went in at half time even.

Albion were awarded a penalty with Ryan Wakefield putting the ball into the back of the net with stunning speed.

South Leeds Saints did not roll over but came back with a quick goal catching Albion asleep.

This made the last 25 minutes a nail biting affair.

Some brilliant play from midfield through to the attack paid dividends for Albion with Tom McMurrough latching onto a through ball to give them the lead.

South Leeds Saints through eveything at Albion with wave upon wave of attack.

An absolutley outstanding save from Josh White near the end ensured Albion came away with all three points.

Excellent performances from all around the team.
