Having achieved promotion last year Pudsey Table Tennis Club made a strong start to life in Division Three North of the Senior British League.
The team started their season against Hull CNTS with a 5-3 win. Man of the match Chris Parker won both of his games as did David Smith, one of which included winning a thriller 18-16 in the fifth end.

e the win. The second match was against St Mary's Hull which also ended in a 5-3 win with two vital wins from Phil Cawser.
In the next match Pudsey cruised to a comfortable 8-0 win over Ormesby. Pudsey failed to maintain their winning start in the last match of the weekend but showed great battling qualities scraping a draw against Uxbridge after being 4-2 down, with all the players winning one.
Ambitious club Pudsey entered a second team in division four of the British league. The team was a mixture of youth and experience and it was the youth who stole the limelight. In their first match against the Isle of Man, 15-year-old Daniel Adams took two impressive wins, one of which included winning deuce in the final end. James Atkins, Chris Newsome and David Noutch also added one each to complete a 5-3 victory.
In their second match they were slightly less fortunate as they were on the wrong end of a 5-3 score line to Drumchapel Glasgow.
Rotherham Scorpions and Northfield also got the better of the second team, 6-2 and 7-1 respectively. With Rudi Itoe and James Atkins both getting the better of Rotherham's number one. James, 14, also got a very impressive victory against Northfield's Chris Jones.
