Pudsey Pacers take on Humber Bridge Half Marathon challenge

The Humber Bridge Half Marathon attracted 1500 runners, among them Andy Hardaker, who took 60th position overall for the Pudsey Pacers.
The race was helping to raise funds for Marie Curie Cancer Care, and other Pacers supporting the event were: Martin Edwards (112:00); Karen Thrippleton (125:23); Mandy Bannister (126:31); Debra Day (129:13) and Arvinder Saggu who was home in 132:30.

The club's ladies continued in great form at the latest Yorkshire Vets Grand Prix meeting hosted by Holmfirth Harriers, and remain top of the league following excellent runs from Ann Francis (3rd FV40), Diane Wood, Alyson Glover and Karen Thrippleton.

Men's counters on the day were Paul Gaile, who claimed 8th place, Russell Stead (12th), Jim Wheldon (15th and 1st MV55) with Dave Cooper in 20th taking 2nd MV35.
