The Yorkshire Vets held their 5 mile championship race in conjunction with the 'Full Bronte' event, promoted by the Keighley & Craven club at Haworth.
Ann Francis took 2nd place at WV40 in an impressive 36:10, with Trish Cutts on 44:13.
For the men, Dave Butler led the way with 34:47, while Paul Ebrey recorded 35:10 and John Pop 37:24.
Suitably inspired, Dave went on to claim 21st place at the West Yorks Fire Service 5 mile road race from Birkenshaw, taking half a minute off his Haworth time to finish in 34:14.
Harewood House was the magnificent setting for the Harewood Chase, a 10k multi-terrain run around the extensive grounds of the big house. Paula Bray was a fine 43rd in the women's race with 53:28, just ahead of Karen Thrippleton, 55th in 54:28.
In the separate men's race, Tim McCaughey was a top 50 finisher in an excellent 43:51, with Don Stead on 49:57 and Steve Ellis 50:37.
Martin Edwards was the Pacers sole representative at the scenic Wharfedale Off-Road Half Marathon, completing this challenging run in a fine 2:16:50, for 71st position.
Dave Woodhead achieved a top 10 placing among the 250 starters for the 'Pulse' charity race, in Roundhay Park, completing the 10k course in 40:42. Mark Dixson was 17th in 43:11 and John Woodhead 107th in 52:39. Dave Woodhead also led the way at the Wednesday evening's Otley A.C. 10 mile road-race, finishing 36th overall in 66:28.
