Pudsey Pacers: Race round up

The Humber Bridge Half Marathon was the destination for two Pudsey Pacers.
David Hudson managed a new personal best in 1.39.17 and David Lighten ran well for 1.55.16.

Dave Woodhead travelled to Doncaster for the Sandall Beat 10K Trail race and was happy with another Sub 40 race in 39.34.

The Wicken Hill Whizz was the latest fell race attempted by Nigel Craven who completed the course in 28.04 for the 3 mile and 1000 feet of ascent.

Three Pudsey Pacers seemingly represented West Yorkshire in the 3 Lakes Classic which is run in the Rother Valley in Rotherham.
Despite being out numbered by those from South Yorkshire, first home was Dave Cooper in a time of 1.58 finishing 22nd overall, Morvan Wallace having run more than the 15 mile advertised finished in 66th in 2.11 followed by Jenny Cooper in 2.21.

Conditions made the going tough especially with an 11am kick off. The big event of the weekend was contested around the streets of Leeds city centre by almost 11,000 runners in the Jane T Run for All.

The festival atmosphere was enjoyed by 14 Pacers who returned impressive times.

They were: James Clarke 15th 36.58, Richard Gibson 40.21, Nigel Craven 42.10, Shaun Denham 44.15, Steve Ellis 51.43, Karen Thrippleton 52.33, Carol Parkinson 53.49, Nicola Bradford 56.27, Joy Good 56.40, Jenny Baldwin 57.36, Zoe Tebbott 59.18, Clare Lenton-Cliffe 1.03.39, Chris Lenton-Cliffe 1.07.52.

Arthur James was back running and came home in 1.16.33.
