Pudsey Pacers: Luck at the Mucky Duck

Pudsey Pacers were out in force at various events.

The last of the Airedale Triple Trail series was down in the Meanwood Valley. Having completed the Guiseley Gallop and the Baildon Boundary Way, three pacers were in the top ten so there was a lot riding on the race.

Robert Samuels came home in 19th (securing fouth in the series and second in the M40 category). Next was Karen Pickles 23rd and first lady home and also winner of the F35 title for the series and fifth overall.

Richard Gibson continued his impressive form pipping Jim Wheldon to the line. Richard finished the series in 11th and Jim came eighth overall and second M50.

The Pudsey Pacers were also out and about at Driffield's Mucky Duck, a
scenic 8.5 miler with a surprising set of hills to deal with half way round.

Twenty two ran and with a bus load of support the team managed to bring home a cabinet-full of trophies including 1st Mens Team (Darren Burnley 2nd 49:53, James Clarke 7th 52:34 and Nigel Armitage 9th 52:54) and 1st Ladies Team (Sharon Hague 68:10, Nicola Bradford 69:53 and Trish Cutts 71:13).

Other Individual awards went to Paul Gaile securing 1st M40 and Sharon Hague taking the F40 trophy.
