Pudsey 2005 proved a point in their opening league game of the season.

The club know this season will be a long hard slog fielding a 13 man squad due to holidays and injuries, new players are a must.

Pudsey started the brightest,and went into an 18th min lead through an excellent individual solo effort from Matthew Tomlinson.

But within two minutes a dubious penalty equaliser, made the game go into the interval honours even.

And within 10 mins of the restart the visitors went into a 3-1 lead.

But strong Pudsey determination,saw the match end all square,with 2 more great goals, first from a Mark Pickles, a 25-yard special free kick

And the second another fine solo effort from David Thornton, who was celebrating his 21st birthday.

Good performances from man-of-the-match Nick Smith, as well as Rob Woodward and Jake Jones.

* Pudsey 2005 reseerves started their Sunday League campaign in fine thanks to a 10-1 win against Acorn FC.
The goals came from Declan Forber (4), Grant Jackson (3) as well as efforts from Ashley Forber, Patrick Sutton and Mark Gibbons.
Next week Pudsey travel to West Hunslet Cons.
