Youngsters from a Pudsey school helped launch a special numeracy project at the town's library - with their teddies.
Greenside Primary pupils brought their bears to hear stories and sing rhymes at the library with children's author and storyteller Penny Dolan.

It is part of the Count Me In, 1,2,3 project which aims to help children develop their numeracy and financial literacy skills before they start school.

It features a range of bright and colourful bags each containing a good quality picture book, games and fun educational resources linked to a story or rhyme.

The bags are free to borrow from any library in Leeds and are a good way for parents and carers to encourage young children to learn early maths skills.
