Pupils at a Fulneck School had a lesson in safety during a visit from members of Stanningley Fire Station's Blue Watch.
Youngsters at Fulneck Juniors learnt about fire safety in the home and were shown a video demonstrating how quickly a fire can spread.

* Click here for latest news in Pudsey & Stanningley.Year five pupil Matthew Pennock said: "We learnt lots of useful tips from the firemen during their talk such as to check door handles with the back of your hand to see if it is hot if you think there is a fire in your house.
"We also learnt that it takes only eight seconds for a room to go up in flames.
"I think the firemen are very brave to do such a dangerous job but I feel much more prepared if I ever found myself in a situation where there is a fire."
The visit is part of the West Yorkshire Fire Services bid to make children aware of the dangers of fire and to better equip themselves in an emergency situation.
After their talk a few of the pupils were given the opportunity to try on some firemen's hats for the camera.
