A popular Pudsey lollipop lady has retired after 18 years.
Joyce Hawkesworth, lollipop lady at Primrose Hill School in Pudsey, received a bouquet of flowers from the headteacher and staff, a bird feeding station from the Parents' Association and flowers and chocolates from pupils and their families.

She now plans to enjoy her retirement on the east coast with her husband David.

"I was very emotional on the last day. Everyone kept coming up to me and giving me a hug," she said.

"I would like to say thank you to all the teachers, children and parents for all their good wishes."
