YOUNGSTERS at a Pudsey school have had a healthy start to the academic year by taking part in a special health week.
Pupils from Pudsey Lowtown School were taught how to lead a healthy lifestyle and as part of the programme, held a skipping workshop and fun run event.

Stacey Kite, PSHE Co-ordinator said Health Week has been used to kick start the academic year for the past four years.

She said: "Each year we seem to add more activities for the children. Ideas about maintaining a healthy lifestyle introduced in health week then become firmly embedded in the whole school ethos throughout the rest of the year.

"The children thoroughly enjoyed meeting Ronnie Rhino, taking part in the skipping workshop, making pictures out of vegetables, and taking part in the NSPCC sponsored fun run.

"We are thrilled that the children are all aware of how to live a health lifestyle."
