A spokesman for Pudsey Grangefield School said: "These were very encouraging results from our Year 13 students this year.

"The vast majority have successfully gained places at their first choice universities.

"Whilst many will be progressing locally to Leeds, Bradford and Huddersfield, others will go further afield to Aberdeen, Warwick, Teeside, Salford, Lincoln, Newcastle, Lancaster, Sunderland and Northumbria."

The top results included Helen Barran who scooped two A's and a merit for BTEC media, James Barratt with an A, C and a distinction for BTEC media, Dawn Wood with three As and a B and Kavita Sharma with three As and an A at AS level.
