Pupils from Intake High School went batty to help give Pudsey Park a special spring clean.

They made their own bird and bat boxes to place high up in trees and also helped plant hundreds of flowers over two days, aided by council countryside rangers.

Ranger Dan Malster said: "There will be a native species zoo built at the back of the park and as part of that we have started creating this wildlife garden.
Pudsey Civic Society donated £3,000 and I would like to thank everyone involved."
