Pudsey Pacers runners have recently travelled north of the border to contest two of the bigger races on the Scottish running calendar.
Mick Hern recorded a fine 3 hours 41 minutes at the prestigious Edinburgh Marathon to secure 1547th position among the massive field.

Mark Dixson was in Dumfries and Galloway for the Kirkcudbright Half Marathon, and recorded a PB when home in 1:34:55 for 40th place overall, while Pudsey exile Mick Turner clocked 1:45:46.

At the Ilkley Trail Race, James Clark (18th in 48:26) and Ann Francis (9th lady in 57:01) led the Pacers contingent back to the Wharfe Valley after a taxing run around the high moors.

Ann's run was worth 3rd place in the WV40 category, while Jenny Cooper (62:55) was 3rd in the women's open race. Jim Wheldon was 1st MV55 in 55:10, and Don Stead was 3rd MV65 in 68:00.

On Bank Holiday Monday, Nigel Armitage made a successful return from injury at the Austwick Amble Fell Race, covering the 7 mile course on the northern flanks of Ingleborough in 62 minutes.

Father and son team John and Dave Woodhead represented the Pacers at the Humber Bridge 10k, with Dave clocking 39:10 to John's 49:16.
