Pudsey Pacers continue to shine this summer.

Nigel Craven has consistently been improving in his first fell race season; this week tackling the Cragg Vale race on Thursday, July 2, and the Comptons Cross, Rawtenstall on Saturday.

Positions were 25th (34:43) at Cragg Vale and 11th in the longer race of nine miles with 1,000ft of ascent.

The latter race was a compact but strong field of 20 including fell royalty Jeff Norman, a multiple winner of the 3 peaks fell race.

Dave Woodhead, Nigel Armitage and Paul Gaile represented the Pacers at the Danefield Relay on Wednesday 1st July securing a top ten finish in the 3 x 3.25 mile trail race.

Their combined time of 63:46 placed them ninth position out of 43 teams.

Other Pacers out and about were John Woodhead finishing mid field in the Mansfield Half in 1-56-38 and Carol Parkinson running the 'Race for Life' in Bolton.
