Also travelling abroad were Janek Popiolek and Trish Cutts, who ventured to Slovakia for the Kosice Half Marathon, recording excellent times of 1:41:53 and 2:00:55 respectively.

Closer to home, the Pacers supported two recent charity fund-raising events, with Dave Woodhead 23rd at the Prince of Wales Hospice (Pontefract) 10k race in 39:16, while Mark Dixson (11th in 42:50) and Richard Gibson (16th in 43:41, a PB) produced splendid performances at the Bramham Park Cancer Research 10k.

On the fells, Nigel Armitage (1:45:35) and Graeme Tiffany (2:09:11) competed at the newly resurrected Whernside Fell Race from Dent, featuring 3000 feet of climbing over the exacting 12 mile course, with Nigel claiming 22nd place overall.
