Pudsey Pacers: Team compete in Yorkshire XC Championships

An intepid team of Pudsey Pacers ventured to the frozen wastelands of Rotherham to compete in the Yorkshire XC Championships.
On a frozen 11 k course representatives from 52 clubs across Yorkshire battled it out.

The Pacers finished in a respectable 21st place. Russell Stead led the way with a superb 108 place (41.04), Andy Teale 132 (42.16), Paul Gaille 144 (43.21), Ca
ptain Jim Wheldon 149 (43.35), Nigel Craven 167 (45.56), Paul Ebrey 191 (48.43) and anchoring the team and picked for his blocking ability, Digger in 197 (50.21).

Also running for the first claim clubs were Gary Bailey in 36.52 and Jonathan Prideaux 38.41.

The standard of the field meant that Olympian Alistair Brownlee could only finishing in 3rd place.
