Dave finished 32nd among the record number of starters to be one of the four Pacers counters along with Paul Gaile, Andy Hardaker, and Jim Wheldon.

The Pudsey ladies remain in top spot with two races to go, aided by strong efforts from Ann Francis, Diane Wood, Sue Ransome and Trish Cutts.

In total some 23 runners from the club helped to bolster the club's chances in the 'all to count' rankings, with both men and women currently leading their competitions.

At the Idle Trail race the Pacers had two finishers among the top ten, Paul Gaile taking 8th place in 39:57 with James Clark 10th in 40:42. Paul came 2nd in the MV40 category, with Mark Dixson (44:38) in 3rd. Also enjoying this 10k race were Darryl Stead (46:30); Jon Greenwood (48:10); Dominic Egan (52:20); Don Stead (53:34); Paula Bray (56:33); Sarah Dutson (58:59) and Karen Thrippleton (59:17).

Scafell Pike and Great Gable were two of the peaks visited on the 17 mile Borrowdale Fell Race, an English Championship counter, where Jim Wheldon recorded a respectable 4 hours 38 minutes.
