Ann Francis led the women's team with 6th position, ably assisted by Diane Wood (7th), Sam Wood (13th) and Sue Ransome (17th), to keep the Pacers at the top of the table.

Counters for the men were Nigel Armitage (8th and 1st MV35), Russell Stead, Jim Wheldon and Paul Gaile.

Russell had also raced the previous evening in the Cinnamon Lodge multi-terrain 10k at Meltham, attaining an excellent 13th place in 40:52.

Also 'doing the double' was Gary Phillips who was 44th in 49:49.
