Pudsey Pacers continue to be well represented at local events with Ann Francis providing the highlight of the week with her age-group victory at the Bluebell Trail Race.
The ten mile multi-terrain challenge promoted by Stainland Lions saw Ann record a fine1 hour 28 minutes, well supported by Jenny Cooper (1:38) and Alyson Glover (1:50).
* Click here for more Pudsey Pacers news.The men were led home by James Clark, who achieved a top 30 finish among the 400 starters when clocking 1:17. Dave Cooper was back in 1:25, with Martin Edwards producing an excellent 1:37.
In the first round of the three-race John Carr 5k series, hosted by St. Bedes A.C. at Esholt, Dave Cooper was again to the fore with 20:04, pursued by Dominic Egan on 22:35 and Arthur James, 33:17.
Jenny Cooper finished in 22:58, closely followed by Sue Ransome (23:33), Alyson Glover (24:19) and Joy Good (27:11).
On the same evening Ann Francis, John Pop and Trish Cutts travelled to Barugh Green in Barnsley for the 6k Spencers Dash, also the first of a series, and recorded times of 26:35; 27:57 and 32:04.
