The away side started strongly and were soon in front thanks to a Tom Hart goal. He was put through one on one and coolly rounded the keeper before sliding the ball home.

Pudsey should have doubled their lead soon after when Josh Whitaker had an excellent chance, but fired against the keeper from close range.

Bradley Burrow was doing a fine job, holding the ball up in attack and tackling back in the midfield, while Matt Beckett and James Conlon were also doing well in the middle of the park.

As the game entered the second half, Pudsey had a stroke of luck as a Kirkstall free-kick cannoned back off the crossbar, though it was nothing that their hard work didn't deserve.

The defensive unit of Keelan Milner, Darren Henderson and keeper Brad Hart put in excellent performances, while captain Lewis Tams turned in his best outing of the season to thwart the Kirkstall strikers.
