Bradley Burrow was doing a fine job, holding the ball up in attack and tackling back in the midfield, while Matt Beckett and James Conlon were also doing well in the middle of the park.
As the game entered the second half, Pudsey had a stroke of luck as a Kirkstall free-kick cannoned back off the crossbar, though it was nothing that their hard work didn't deserve.
The defensive unit of Keelan Milner, Darren Henderson and keeper Brad Hart put in excellent performances, while captain Lewis Tams turned in his best outing of the season to thwart the Kirkstall strikers.
Pudsey manager, Stuart Beckett, said: "It was a resilient performance against a skilful team and underlines the great progress the team has made so far this season."
