Pudsey 2005 were outplayed in their pre-season friendly against higher division opponents but took positives from defeat.

Missing several players Pudsey gave a debut to a new goalkeeper Neil Shaw.

He was on hand to make several vital first half saves which meant the team went into the interval 1-0 down.


Pudsey had no answer to a second half onslaught but good contributions from Nick Smith, Rob Woodward, Chris Heaton, Chris McCarthy and Dave Thornton.

Next week Pudsey play rivals Calverley in their final friendly before their campaign kicks off.
