Champions elect Pudsey 2005 forced to play the waiting game

Pudsey 2005 have a week long wait to be confirmed Leeds Combination League Division 1 champions.
Second-placed Leeds City Rovers have to beat Chapletown Brazil 8-0 to secure it themselves.

Pudsey 2005 played out a 4-4 draw with Chapeltown Brazil in their latest league encounter.

And manager Chris Smith had to pull out all the stops and recruit six rookie players from the club's reserve squad who themselves require two victories from three in seven days, to win there League title.

Twice Pudsey had to come from two goal deficits, to gain the vital point,to be elected Champions.

The Pudsey goalscorers were David Thornton (38 & 73) as well as a 25 screamer from James Rainford (34) and Kevin Brown (62).

Pudsey held on and even could have scored the vital winner in the closing minutes.

Special mentions go to Andrew Davenport, Chris McCarthy, Nick Smith, Declan Forber and Grant Jackson.
