Yorkshire coldest place in the UK this morning as freezing frosts continue despite sunny days

The weather has lurched from warm sunny days to freezing nights and one local weather enthusiast has shared the mercury readings from parts of the county after another bitterly cold night.
The account shared the news that parts of Yorkshire slipped to almost MINUS 8C on Thursday morning.

Hide AdRavenseat in North Yorkshire recorded a temperature of -7.8C, while Keld suffered through -7.3C.
It makes the two weather stations the two coldest places in the UK overnight.
The person behind the @northyorkswx account said: "Less than 6 weeks to the start of the meteorological summer and we are still seeing temperatures that have been rare in the depths of recent winters.
"Coldest places in the UK this morning. Many of my stations in there, #NorthYorkshire well and truly the cold spot."
