Tributes to ‘well-loved son and father’ who was found dead in Wykebeck

Police are now in a position to confirm the identity of the man whose body was found in his home in Wykebeck Mount, Leeds.

The body of Marc Scarlett, aged 52, was found on Thursday.

In a statement, his family said: “Marc was a well-loved son and father and he will be sadly missed.”

Officers from the Homicide and Major Enquiry Team are continuing with their enquiries to establish the circumstances of what took place.

The 46-year-old man who was arrested yesterday in connection with the death has been bailed pending further enquiries.

Police were alerted by the ambulance service at 1.50pm on Thursday, September 1, after they had received a report of a male found dead at the address.

Officers said a 46-year-old man had been arrested on suspicion of murder and was in custody.
