Police have taken down another cannabis farm as their efforts to tackle the supply and use of illegal drugs in the Headingley and Hyde Park area continue.

Back-to-back search warrants were executed on Thursday and Friday last week. Police say disrupting the supply of drugs in the area is a neighbourhood priority as set by local residents during PACT meetings. A further four search warrants have been executed in the ward in the last six weeks.

A Facebook post by West Yorkshire Police’s Leeds North West account read: “On Friday, we continued to tackle the supply and use of illegal drugs in the Headingley & Hyde Park area, by taking down another cannabis farm. Disrupting the supply of drugs in the area is a neighbourhood priority, as set by residents during PACT meetings.

“We are committed to this, as shown by back-to-back search warrants executed on Thursday and Friday of last week and a further four in the ward, in the last six weeks alone.”
