Two bumbling occupants of a speeding car stopped on the M62 have been reported - after the brazen driver gave his passenger's details as his own.

PC Martin Willis - known on Twitter as 'Motorway Martin' - said the pair were "rumbled" after he asked the driver how many points he had on his licence - to which the passenger responded first.

The speeding car was stopped by the officer on the M62 on Sunday.

Both occupants have now been reported.
