Pupils at Crawshaw High School in Pudsey school scaled the heights of fund-raising for charity.
Over a five-day period, around 60 youngsters used the school's climbing wall to climb 29,000ft - the equivalent of Mount Everest - and their efforts raised £1,500 for Marie Curie Cancer Care.
* Click here for more local school news.The cheque was presented at the school recently, when the charity also showed the youngsters a new ambulance, used to take people to and from home to hospital or hospice.
Brian Curran, the charity's West Yorkshire fundraising manager, said: "We are really delighted by the efforts of the students at the school in taking on this challenge and raising so much money to help local people who are living with cancer."
