Armley crime writer hopes he'll be toasting awards success

Armley-born writer Peter Robinson was in Leeds to celebrate his nomination for a major award.

The bestselling author has been shortlisted for the Theakstons Old Peculier Crime Novel of the Year award.

He visited the Leeds headquarters of Asda this week which is backing the award.

It is the only honour of its kind to be voted for by the general public.
Shortlisted

Peter has been shortlisted for his novel Friend of the Devil and is up against 13 other contenders including Ian Rankin and previous winners Mark Billingham and Val McDermid,
